Here's a fort

Just like the history of Corfu itself, the history of the two forts — the Old Fort in front of town and the New Fort behind — is a composite of contributions from various nations. First the Byzantines, then the Venetians and later the British. There’s even a spot where a Russian solider has written his name in concrete at the beginning of the 19th century. All this, and more, is brilliantly brought to life by Antreas, who is the most knowledgeable, fluent and fascinating guide that you could hope for.
