The belfry is the most important building on the Grote Markt. This square is surrounded by guild houses with an ancient history.

The Basilica of the Holy Blood has an impressive facade with gold-colored statues. You reach the upper chapel in neo-Gothic style via a special staircase. There is also an elevator. You don't want to miss this! The lower chapel is completely different. It surprises with the thick walls, small windows and the unique atmosphere. The centuries-old town hall is located on the same square. This building with the slender towers is an absolute eye-catcher. Here the guide will tell you about the statues and coats of arms.

Bruge is an amazing city with a lot of history. Going to Bruge in and of itself is wonderful, but doing this walking/canal tour with a guide gives you the amazing history of this city. I highly recommend this tour.
