Kuching
Kuching, the “Cat City”, is a heaven for tourist! It is one of the main tourist destination in Sarawak. Join this bike tour around the heritage building and temples, Malay Kampong, leaving you with a memorable experience! The ride is around 17km (10.5633 miles) and takes about 4.5 hours, with regular stops. Children are welcome with an adult.
Apart from cycling around the heritage buildings and monuments, you will be taking a cruise across the Sarawak River on a traditional Sampan boat. You will be taking through the track of the rural Malay Kampong along the bank of Sarawak River, explore the village and savor of the variety of traditional Malay foods, especially Kuih Lapis. It is completely different from the Malay lifestyle in the city.
Next, you will be exploring an open air market of Kubah Ria, a must visit market for visitors. You can find most of the Kuching’s favorite foods here. Such as tropical local fruits, vegetables and local handicrafts. Some forest produce including wild honey and exotic plants are also available in the market.

A great way to see Kuching

A brilliant half day on the bike led by the wonderful Estée. She was knowledgeable and hugely helpful as we visited some local landmarks, and then led us through the old town where we were able to sample a few local delicacies. I loved the opium coffee and also the 3-layered tea! It was also a privilege to be able to enter the local mosque. Sadly the weather turned bad as we ate our last snack and we did get very wet before arrival at the local market. After an interesting walk around there it was back on the bike for the longest riding segment back to the river. A short sampan journey took us almost to where we started a few hours earlier. Great fun, but probably better in the dry!
Great way to see Kuching

If you only get a chance to do one tour in Kuching, this is it. You get a great feel for the city, the history, the food and life in Kuching, all packed in to half a day. Go early to avoid the heat. We had a great time with our guide Ayra who was incredibly knowledgeable about a wide range of topics.

A good half day tour starting in old Kuching followed by cycle up the river. Tour guides are excellent and bikes of reasonable quality. The tour includes trying some Sarawak snacks and laksa - very tasty

A great tour taking in a mixture of the local heritage and trying local food. The cycling was flat and not very far. Our guides, Kelvin and Aera were very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend you do this early in your break in Kuching so you can go back to the food outlets!

I am Lily and my husband Chan joined this unforgettable cycling tour during our trip to Kuching , Sarawak. Many stops to view the scenic heritage and learnt of their history from our knowledgeable and experienced, friendly tour leader Ms Farah. A brief crash course on handling the bikes and road safety was done. Another cheerful guide, Ms Aera , who was behind the group ensured that no one is left behind and also ensure our road safety and took some photos of our group to for us to bring home good memories.
We are newbies with MTB and we are glad we joined this tour.
