Overview

Experience a 5.5-hour guided tour to Martinborough, one of New Zealand's premier wine regions. Departing from Wellington, the tour follows the Hutt River through the Hutt Valley and over the Remutaka Ranges, with a sightseeing stop at the Summit (555m). In the Wairarapa valley, the winery town of Martinborough awaits, where you'll visit THREE of the region’s top wineries to enjoy their Cellar Door experiences and sample world-class wines. Excellent wine tasting tour!

This wine tour was excellent. Small group of us. Comfortable van with Simon at the helm. He was so knowledgeable about not only the area but of the wine area specifically. All 3 vineyards were good - Helen led the first tasting - she knows her stuff and is passionate about it. The second stop was more about the lunch offerings. The wait staff were just okay. Not terribly friendly. The third stop with Georgia guiding the tasting was very good. I would recommend this tour highly. Especially as this is not as busy of a wine area as Marlborough and the wines were very good. A bonus - the first stop included a Gin tasting too.

Excellent tour! Guide Michael good fun and very informative. Made everyone feel welcome and included. Enjoyed the wineries..each quite different. The lunch (pay for your own) was delicious. Glad we had time to stop for cheese on way back…and thanks for blue monkey recommendation! I’d eat that all day if I could!

We had an enjoyable day with 9 other passengers and our guide, Michael. The three wineries we visited were all quite different but our sommeliers were all very knowledgeable. Delicious lunch at Moy Hall.

Michael, the guide driver was friendly and informative setting the tone of our tour. The vehicle was clean and comfortable for the length of the tour. Would definitely recommend this easy and convenient experience.

Splendid Wine Tour

Since we were the only ones on our tour, Phil personalized it for us. Since we are red wine drinkers, he took us to wineries that he knew would give us a red wine experience. It turned out great. We had a lovely day.
