Please indicate that when booking your reservation. ATTENTION CRUISE SHIP PASSENGERS: Your pick-up or drop-off point will be ... the parking lot of Pier #22 in the Halifax Cruise Port. Your driver/guide will be holding a yellow sign with, "Peggy's Cove & Titanic Cemetery Tour" writtien on it. If you don't see our driver/guide, look for a van with our company name, "Anchor Tours", on the side of it. We will contact you by email no later than 8:00 p.m. the evening before the tour to let you know the exact time we will be by to pick you up. When you arrive in Halifax, please, make sure your cell phone is turned on and be available to receive calls or messages in case we need to contact you.     As you leave Halifax, you'll enjoy a scenic 1:30-hour drive along the beautiful coastline of St. Margaret's Bay, from the village of Hubbards to the iconic Peggy's Cove. After arriving in Peggy's Cove, you'll have an hour to visit the world's most popular lighthouse, explore the local fishing village, and even sample some local seafood if you like! Witness the power of the ocean as waves crash against the rugged and rocky coastline. Peggy's Cove will treat you to incredibly beautiful landscapes and leave you with memories that will last a lifetime.

  • Fairview Lawn Cemetery

    As you leave Peggy's Cove and head back to Halifax (1:00 hr. approximate time), your next stop will be the Fairview Lawn Cemetery, where the remains of 121  Titanic victims are interred. The tragic loss of the RMS Titanic on April 15, 1912, was felt all over the world, including in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Due to Nova Scotia's close proximity to the Titanic's last known position, recovery ships from Halifax were dispatched to conduct the grizzly task of recovering those who perished. Halifax is home to the largest concentration of Titanic graves in the world. As you walk through the cemetery, you'll learn about the lives of those who were lost, the details surrounding the memorial, and the heartbreaking story of the unknown child of the Titanic.

Our driver and guide for the day, Jeff, did an excellent job. Peggy’s Cove was very scenic and quaint. Jeff’s knowledge of all things Titanic was very interesting. We definitely learned a great deal of how Halifax was instrumental in the recovery efforts. The cemetery was thought provoking.

This was a great tour. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable in terms of local information, Peggy’s cove, the drive along the way and especially about the Titanic. I’d forgotten just how interesting that whole tragedy is and it definitely re-sparked an interest in it. At the end of the tour the guide dropped a few of us off downtown at the maritime museum instead of the cruise port as well, which was also very helpful. We got out early and beat a lot of the crowds too and actually finished on time. This was a great tour.
