Explore Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures, an award-winning eco-tourism attraction located between Cairns and Port Douglas. Cruise the wetlands to see crocodiles lazing on the riverbanks and witness the stealth and power of these prehistoric animals at the Crocodile Attack show.   • Hartley's Crocodile Adventures

    Located north of Cairns, Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures is the best place to see crocodiles and Australian wildlife in Tropical North Queensland. Walk along the timber boardwalks and pathways, through woodlands and rainforest to see an array of tropical birds, reptiles, insects and other native fauna. Start your adventure with a boat cruise exploring the Melaleuca wetlands, home to the estuarine (saltwater) crocodile. Then, explore the different zones of the park at your leisure. There are entertaining and educational wildlife presentations to enjoy each day. (See below for times.) Watch the notorious ‘head shake’ and ‘death roll’ at the Crocodile Attack educational show, see some of the world’s most venomous snakes, and help feed the koala’s and cassowaries. Shows & Feeding times conducted by the parks qualified keepers. • 2.00pm Snake Show • 2.30pm Wetlands Cruise • 3.00pm Crocodile Attack Show • 4.15pm Cassowary feeding with a keeper • 4.30pm Koala feeding with a keeper Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures is a long time accredited member of Ecotourism Australia and is the only wildlife park in Australia to be located within and surrounded by UNESCO World Heritage listed forest.

Worthwhile day. So much to see. All the shows were amazing , impressed by the knowledge shared by the animal keepers there

A True Cairns area MUST DO

Bloody awesome experience! The name of the place doesn’t do the diversity of the awesomeness justice. Sooo much more than the crocs !!! While the Down Under bus was great (I didn’t have a car), I would spend the whole day here (I love animals though). The shows and presentations are stellar & all part of a relatively low entry fee. I would have looked for public transport (cheap bus) & spent longer there.

This was a great half day trip. The bus driver was funny and had great local knowledge. The crocodile farm was really interesting and in lovely surroundings. The only small hiccup with the trip was that i was given the wrong pick up place and the wrong time.

Nice bus ride to Hartleys., nice park with crocodile viewing and other animals. Worth a visit. The boat cruise is exciting and they have a aviary and reptile park

Best croc knowledge

We had a fabulous day at Hartley's young Harry took us on the boat trip he was enthusiastic and knowledgeable with a great sense of humour and then Thomas was brilliant at the 3 o’clock croc attack I even thought he was better than Robert Irwin who I saw doing the croc show at Australia zoo, and finally our drive Mark was a hoot too.
