Overview

Private guide/driver will take you to the iconic beauty spots and historical locations on the road to Skye. We have flexibility to alter the tour for any last minute requests you may have and aim to provide you with the most memorable experiences on your Scottish holiday.     Photo opportunities and optional stop at Urquhart Castle

  • Eilean Donan Castle

    Iconic visit to Eilean Donan castle allowing time for photos and entrance.

  • Skye Bridge (Pass By)

    Taking you over the sea to Skye on what was a controversial build at the time but is serving the island well.

  • Isle of Skye Market Square (Pass By)

    Passing through the second major town on Skye with it's stunning views across the sound to the site of the once bustling Kishorn Yard.

  • Portree Harbour

    With it's colourful harbour, Somerled Square, quaint shops and eateries and the excellent Aros centre offering history and culture, a stop in Portree is a must.

    Magnificent basalt formation, resembling a kilt and imposing Mealt Waterfall.

  • Staffin Fossil Museum

    I love this place. Housed in the original family home of the lovely, Dugald Ross, with it's internationally famous collectioin of dinosaur fossils, found nearby, which he started in 1976!

  • Quiraing

    Captivating landscape at the north of the island. The Table was once used to play shinty on! Photo stop.

  • Skye Museum of Island Life

    A little hamlet of black houses, offering an in-sight into the life of an islander in the 1800s and early 1900s. Nearby is the Memorial to Flora MacDonald.

  • Talisker Distillery

    Heading round Skye with views of Loch Bracadale and Loch Harport, stop to sample the islands only whisky, the famous, Talisker. * This requires to be requested and tours pre-booked by us (the distillery is closed / has limited tour availability at this time due to building works)

    To complete our round trip, we return via Strathcarron.

Isle of Skye tour & Scotch Tasting tour

We did a full day at Isle of Skye. We were picked up at our airbnb outside Inverness and spent a full 10 hours seeing the Isle of Skye. Regan was an exceptional driver/tour guide. I highly recommend using their service. We also used them for a day trip for our scotch tasting. All 4 couples loved the two days we spend with Regan as our driver.

Awesome day out on the Isle of Skye

Had a very wet, cold & windy day trip across to the Isle of Skye but we had an awesome tour guide, Keith. We did a loop stopping at Glen Sligachan to stretch our legs and see a sculpture of 2 pioneer climbers then up through Portree (stopped for lunch & a look at the shops), passed the Quiraing Walk (too wet!), saw The Old Man of Storr just through the low cloud, stopped at Kilt Rock, visited the very interesting museum of early life in Skye, had pics with hairy coos before heading back via Uig. Keith was very friendly & easy to get along with. Made our family day out a lot of fun. Thank you!
