    Mehrangarh is a historic fort located in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India. It stands on a hilltop, rising about 122 meters above the surrounding plains. One of the largest forts in Rajasthan, it contains some of the finest palaces and preserves in its museum many priceless relics of Indian courtly life

  • Umaid Bhawan Museum

    The Umaid Bhawan Palace is housed neatly beside the royal blue city of Jodhpur. It is a n architectural marvel, truly an edifice and is almost 75 years old. The foundation was laid in 1928 and construction of the palace was completed in 1943 under the guidance of chief architect Vidyadhar Bhattacharya and Sir S.S. Jacob. The erection of the palace was done under the aegis H.V. Lanchester. The foundation’s ground was crushed by Maharaja Umaid Singh himself upon whom the palace is named after all.

Fantastic Tour with Vikram in Jodhpur!

My dad and me had an amazing experience exploring Jodhpur with our fantastic guide, Vikram. From start to finish, the tour was both informative and enjoyable. Vikram’s deep knowledge of Jodhpur’s history really stood out — he knew all the important facts and dates and shared them in an engaging way. Our tour included a fascinating walk through the bustling streets of the old town as well as an insightful visit to the majestic Mehrangarh Fort. Vikram’s excellent English made everything easy to follow, and his calm and confident demeanor made us feel safe and comfortable, even in the busiest parts of the city. On top of that, Vikram recommended a fantastic local restaurant for dinner and even suggested some delicious dishes to try — a perfect way to end our day. If you’re visiting Jodhpur, we highly recommend booking a tour with Vikram. He’s knowledgeable, professional, and ensures you have a memorable experience. Vikram was professional, friendly and a good guide. He explained the history and heritage behind the major sights, we definitely got more out of the visits, especially to the fort, than we would have on our own. He was a good driver and had a comfortable car. There are some usual shopping additions, as per all these tours, spices , silver, crafts etc, your choice if you wish to buy anything, but no hard sell. Lunch was a visit to a restaurant catering to westerners. Entry tickets to monuments and lunch not included in the price (just to be clear!)
