Chika was an awesome guide and took us to some great spots in different areas of Kyoto! We tried different kinds of sake with snacks, visited the Nishiki market for some eel tempura and soy milk donuts. The last stop was my favorite- delicious tempura and yuzu sorbet, my new favorite, for dessert. Highly recommend this tour!

I took a trip with a family of eight adventurous eaters (late 20s-60s), and it was great! Yuina, our guide, was incredibly friendly, informative, and shared a lot of information about Japanese food and culture. She took us to a few spots at Nishiki Market (the tempura conger eel was our favorite) and then some very memorable, local restaurants: A seafood izakaya, a saki tasting, and a tempura spot. She ordered us foods we wouldn't normally have known about and we were eager to try. I would highly recommend this experience and we all enjoyed Yuina's company and hospitality!

We had a wonderful evening in Kyoto with our tour guide, Chikako. She was very friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive to everyone's preferences. She took great care of us and showed us a variety of delicious foods in Kyoto that we never would have tried on our own! Great seafood, meat, and veggie options, including some rare foods I'd never heard of. She had great drink recommendations as well and we appreciated learning about the different types of sake from her - she really knows her stuff! We particularly enjoyed the stroll through the Pontocho area and learning about the different types of establishments there. There was also a lovely girl with Chikako who was training to be a tour guide, I think her name was Leandra (sorry if incorrect!) who was super friendly and gave great tips about the area as well. We really enjoyed their company :) Thank you ladies!!!

A really excellent night. Chikako was so friendly and she facilitated the bonding of the group (3 couples) so that we all had a good time, enjoying all the tasty food that we wouldn't know to order if we'd been on our own. She was so knowledgeable and gave us so much information that it was impossible to take it all in (especially after having the sake!). However the next day she followed up by emailing a summary of the tour. Brilliant and highly recommended!

My wife and I went on this tour for our marriage anniversary trip. Mana, our tour guide, was very welcoming and made everyone feel comfortable. She made some great choices in restaurants and food stands. My wife and I even returned to some of them!
