Went on the strength of the reviews but being the cynical people we are we thought: surely the tour can’t be THAT good. It was. In fact it was even better. Mad Alice is a massive talent, we loved every interesting moment and we would actually do it all again. Highly recommended.

Mad Alice is a delight! She is clever while describing the darker side of York history, somehow remembers everyone’s name, brings the group in as participants while she weaves tales of crime and punishment. I so enjoyed her enthusiasm as a tour guide and knowledge of York’s bloody past. You should definitely give this tour a go while visiting York!

We absolutely loved Mad Alice and her tour of York. It was incredibly educational but also very fun and easy to listen to. Alice is a great story teller and very engaging. Alice also took the time to learn everyone’s names on the tour and those personal touches were really special. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this tour to anyone visiting York. Thank you Alice xxx
