This breathtaking place is known for its white beaches and turquoise water such as Manuel Antonio and Espadilla, hier you can enjoy a wide variety of activities like swimming or hiking. The park is also home of many of Costa Rica’s unique species, including Monkeys, Sloths, Toucans, Reptiles and more, but will be even better appreciated after a guided walk through the tropical rain forest with your naturalist tour guide.

Amazing Tour of Manuel Antonio with Rafael!

Excellent tour in Manuel Antonio. Our guide, Rafael brought humor, enthusiasm, and was very knowledgeable with plants and animals. He was really good at spotting animals from so far away. Genuinely made our tour feel special and intimate, would highly recommend booking with Rafael as your guide!

Amazing experience!

Robert was an excellent communicator about where to meet, park, and other details about the tour. We met Juan right outside of the park and began this amazing tour. Juan was SO knowledgeable about all of the animals, plants, insects, birds, etc, and he was so good at sharing really interesting facts in a fun way. He taught us so much in a short time- his explanations were really thorough and even though we’ve done several other tours on this trip, we learned so much from him! Juan also was able to find so many animals- we saw sloths (several!), howler and capuchin monkeys, many birds, lizards of all kinds, colorful crabs, birds that were so camouflaged we never would’ve seen them, spiders, bats…etc etc. He also made sure that we knew all about the park and some Costa Rican history that was definitely above and beyond the regular park tour. I highly recommend this tour- totally worth it!!

A "must do" in Manuel Antonio

First, Robert, was very communicative prior to the tour with detailed information on tour expectations, requirements, obtaining our tickets and traversing the many distracting "hawkers" to arrive at their office which included free parking. The office is about 100 meters from the park gate. Secondly, Wilbur, our guide, was awesome. He whisked us right through the gate with ease. He was able to spot the wildlife that we would have never seen. He was very knowledgeable of the flora and fauna. He was able tell us about each animal we saw, their habits and diets. He is a trained botanist and knew everything about the plants. He was a able to take pics and videos through the spotting scope with our cameras which was a great addition to all the pics we took ourselves. At the end of the tour, he dropped us at one of beautiful beaches in the park to enjoy time on our on. We relaxed and swam at the beach and then my wife and I hiked the trail around punta catedral where we saw beautiful vistas and were able to get extremely close the a troop of capuchin monkeys. After we exited the park, we stopped at Buru Garden Restaurant which Wilbur recommended. We at first suspected that he recommended it because they share a parking lot but we decided to give it try and it was terrific. Great seafood and two for one drinks were just what we needed after a warm day in the park. I would highly recommend this tour company for your visit to Manuel Antonio national park.

I just completed this tour today and it was really great. Bernie was our guide and he was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so many great insights and perspectives. And he clearly has super powers because he spotted creatures that were seemingly invisible to the human eye. Amazing! He was so in-tune with his surroundings and he clearly has a big heart for Nature and all of our animal friends. I initially spoke with Robert who was very helpful in coordinating parking, meeting location, etc. I can’t imagine a better time to do this tour than early in the morning. At 8:30 there was already quite a lot of people. But our group was small, just Bernie, myself, and another traveler. We saw bats, iguanas, frogs, beautiful birds, butterflies, spiders, and I saw my first sloth! Our guide took some amazing photos which he sent us via phone when the tour completed - I will post a few. The tour ended at an epic and quiet beach where I spent several hours swimming in the ocean. For someone who is not really into tours, I must say that I really loved this experience. I can recommend Travel & Birding with total confidence. Five stars.

Wilbur was a great guide. He was very knowledgeable and spent the time to take pictures for us. We got to see a couple sloths. We had a great time!
