Step back into the Pop-Culture past and walk along iconic streets and dirty back alleys of Miami Beach as we explore the vibrant and historic locations that brought the big screen to life. Miami Vice caused the "Vice Effect" which placed the forgotten city on a global map. I have made it my mission to bring these stories to life through passion, extensive research, storytelling, and visual aids. Guided tour includes a portable screen to watch scenes from the show right where they were filmed, allowing us to visually travel back in time. You'll gain insider knowledge on movie & TV creation, experience the buildings, street corners, and interior spaces which were used as filming locations, and discover fascinating nuggets about the checkered history of the 1980s Miami. Every stop is a scene, every building a backdrop, every lobby a close-up, and every detail a story waiting to be told.

History, architecture, and 1980s TV nostalgia

We joined this tour during Art Deco Weekend, a special annual event. Several Miami Vice crew members co-hosted alongside Damian. Their firsthand insights and personal stories from their time working on the iconic show was an added bonus. Damian himself was fantastic, sharing a treasure trove of Miami magic with passion and expertise. The combination of history, architecture, and television nostalgia made for a truly fascinating and eclectic experience that I will want to repeat.

I attended this event as the kickoff to Art Deco Weekend 2025, and it was nothing short of incredible—a truly one-of-a-kind experience. Visiting each location and watching the scenes filmed right where they happened felt like stepping into a pop-culture time machine straight to the 1980s. Damian is an outstanding guide, seamlessly tying the locations to their historical context.

A one of a kind tour, that you absolutely should experience! Damian is passionate about Miami beach, its architecture, its history and its movie past. He shared scenes and images on his Ipad and related anecdotes and showed us spots and details we would never have seen. Thank you so much for this plunge into the incredible past of South Beach!
