Overview

This natural history tour is a great opportunity to observe many wild species such as Toucans, Aguitis, White-faced Monkeys, Resplendent Quetzal, Collared Trogon and many more, in addition to exploring in detail the imposing Ficus trees that surprise with their height and also the incredible structure that forms their root systems.

    This private reserve gives you the possibility of observing a large amount of local wildlife such as birds such as Resplendent Quetzal, Iris-billed Toucan, Losson's Motmot, Summer Tanager, Barred Nuthatch, to name a few in the case of mammals we can observe Coatis, Monkeys Spider, armadillo, Aguiti and many more. The reserve has some trees called ficus estraguladara that are impressive with their gigantic sizes. In some you can enter the tree and explore its depths.

Fantastic trip to Curicancha to spot quetzals

Fantastic visit, with brilliant views of Quetzal and many more birds. Our guide Rafael was so friendly, helpful and genuinely excited for us when we found the birds we wanted to see.

Wonderful time with Rafael highly recommend! Very informative and fun. Got to see luminescent fungus and two species of snakes along with various flora!

Unique and peaceful hike

Rafa was very knowledgeable and patient and also had a very keen eye- we saw uv lit up scorpions, tarantulas, mot mots, vipers and a huge strangler fig tree. Just a beautiful way to see the forest in a different light.

We saw a porcupine!!!!!

We had a great experience with Raffy! We did a night hike and he was very knowledgeable about everything that we saw. We saw so many animals, insects and plants. The best sights of the tour were a porcupine, a Hercules beetle, a viper and many gorgeous birds! I would highly recommend this tour.

Rafa was a great tour guide! We had a great experience. We didn’t see too many animals, but did see birds, a tarantula, baby viper, and a porcupine, as well as a variety of bugs. Rafa was able to share lots of info about all the animals and creatures we saw.
