This is a unique opportunity to enjoy the Cloud Forest from a different perspective, since almost 80% of wildlife is nocturnal

Itinerary

we Will go to a private local reserve to do the tour. The scenery is unique, walking thru complete darkness under the light of the moon and the fireflies, accompanied only by the guide and a flashlight, while we learn about the natural history of nocturnal birds, insects, sloths, bioluminescent fungus, porcupines, bats, snakes, Armadillos among many other creatures of the night. You will go through trails covered by dense vegetation on both sides, with a local guide expert in local flora and fauna.

Best day birding in Monteverde

George is an amazing guide! His love of birds and Costa Rica was infectious! He took us places we would never have got to on our own - so worth the cost! Thank you for a wonderful day.

Truly what an amazing night hike! Although I've done night hikes in other countries, this was the best night hike i've ever done. You could truly see how passionate George is about what he does. He finds beauty in all the amazing critters and wildlife he encounters which in turn allows us as the tour participants to both learn and gain a new appreciation for all that we encounter. I also have to give a shout out to his photography skills. He managed to get amazing photos with my phone that I will always be happy to look back on! George is also especially talented at finding even the most well-camoflauged animals, from pit vipers waiting in ambush in the trees to endemic insects hiding in the foliage and much more; George was able to show us incredible wildlife that we otherwise would have certainly missed. If you're heading to Costa Rica, don't miss out on taking a tour with him :)

Great Night Tour

We had an absolutely wonderful night tour with George. We saw frogs, spiders, birds and insects and he explained about the fauna/foliage. He helped our son take pictures/videos. Cannot hightly recommend George enough!

Excellent guide

Loved it. George was very personable, very knowledgeable, and genuinely very excited about the things he showed us. I don’t think I would have been able to spot any of the critters he pointed out to us. And I know it’s been mentioned in other reviews, but he really is a wizard at taking pictures through a spotting scope. Favorite guide of our trip.

I wish I could give George MORE stars!! He was so incredibly warm & personable. Extremely knowledgeable & fun. We had the best time with him & saw so many amazing things. He took the time to get us the best pictures through his scope too. I can't recommend him highly enough! If you have the chance to book any tour with George, do it!
