Overview

A walk through a private reserve of approximately 2 hours. This is a slow walk ideal to observe the night life of the forest. We will be able to see sloths, night birds, snakes, nocturnal insects, armadillos, tarantulas, scorpions, among others. Each person will be provided with a lamp. Groups of up to 7 people. Enthusiatic and experienced guides with great knowledge of the area. Small groups of up to 7 people in order to provide a more personalized service.

Great tour leaders who care and want you to have the best and most comfortable experience.

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, asked us what we wanted to see and did his best to find it and also politely reminded people about etiquette of torch use which was super helpful when people shone lights in your eyes. He was all over it which made our tour so much more enjoyable. I would highly recommend.

Best Night Tour in Monteverde! Mauricio, our tour guide, was incredibly knowledgeable—we learned so much about the animals we saw, the surrounding areas, and more. Our group of three truly appreciated his kindness and his effort to speak both English and Spanish, ensuring we all understood everything. We spotted so many animals, including a green viper, a wolf spider, frogs, various birds (including a sleeping hummingbird), howler monkeys, and many more! If you’re looking for a tour where you can spot amazing wildlife while gaining knowledge about the local flora and fauna, I can’t recommend this tour or Mauricio enough!

Exceptional guide & experience, even saw Momma & baby Sloths!

We’re so glad that we spent the money and booked this night tour with a guide, especially being in the dark, as we wouldn’t have seen anything on our own (except trees). Elbert, was exceptional at finding birds, insects and snakes (even the hardest to spot), and a Momma and baby sloth! Which we were very excited to see up close with his telescope. He had a wealth of knowledge on all of the wildlife and nature, including the various plant, flower and tree species. His knowledge of the forest and Monteverde added to our experience and the peaceful and adventurous nighttime walk. Thank you Elbert!

Such a great guide and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend. We did morning birdwatching and it was so great we came back for the night tour.
