Overview

Experience Vancouver's beautiful surroundings on this 7-hour guided North Shore tour. After crossing Vancouver Harbor via the iconic Lions Gate Bridge, immerse yourself in the mountainside rainforest on Vancouver’s North Shore. Take an exhilarating walk across the Capilano's Suspension Bridge. Stroll the suspended walkways throughout the forest canopy and granite cliff-side. Enjoy a stop at the Capilano Salmon Hatchery. Plus, ride the Grouse Mountain Skyride to the peak for a variety of seasonal activities, exhibits, and entertainment.

Meeting points

Please be ready for pick up at the Residence Inn by Marriott at 10:35am. Hotel pick-up from select Vancouver hotels is available but you must call to schedule this ahead of time. Transportation will not go to hotels without prior scheduling and confirmation.

  • Lions Gate Bridge (Pass By)

    Travel over the iconic Lions Gate Bridge and enjoy scenic views of Vancouver's North Shore. Also known as the First Narrows Bridge it crosses the Burrard Inlet, a busy route for cruise ships, recreational boaters and seaplanes. Take a look back and catch a glimpse of the downtown Vancouver skyline and Stanley Park.

  • Capilano Salmon Hatchery

    Located on the Capilano River, the Capilano Salmon Hatchery gives visitors the opportunity to learn all about the lifecycle of Pacific Salmon. Tour through the Interpretive Centre to see the different stages of development before the juvenile salmon are released into the river. Keep a lookout, you may see mature salmon returning! Best times to view species: Chinook Adults (October – November) Coho Adults (June – November) Steelhead Adults (March – April) Coho Juveniles (All Year) Chinook Juveniles (March – May)

  • Capilano Suspension Bridge Park

    Learn about the rich history of the area in the Story Centre and put your fear of heights to the test by crossing the suspension bridge spanning 450 ft (137m) across and 230 ft (70m) above the Capilano River. Other experiences to enjoy include the Cliffwalk, Treetops Adventures or venturing through The Living Forest. Don't forget to take a deep breathe and appreciate the sky-high evergreens and cedar-scented rainforest air.

    Just 15 minutes outside of downtown Vancouver, Grouse Mountain offers a variety of activities for guests to enjoy. Take the Skyride up to the Peak of Vancouver, meet Grinder and Coola, the two resident Grizzly bears, visit the Theatre in the Sky or take in the views from Paradise Patio - there's something to "peak" everyone's interest!

A full and fun day out

A really interesting and varied day out covering fish hatchery, Capilano Park and Grouse Mountain. Capilano Park was great fun, even for a pair of “oldies “ crossing suspension bridges from tree to tree. Then onto Grouse Mountain to see bears and finish with the lumber jack show. Lovely day out with Rodrigo as driver and guide. Thank you.

Very enjoyable day. Grouse Mountain was awesome. We saw their beautiful grizzly’s and the chair lift to take you higher is a must. The Capilano Suspension Bridge was a great experience. Their treetops walk is also great and very unique.

Salmon Hatchery/Gondola and Bridge plus extras

Great day trip to see some highlight just outside Vancouver. Weather not on our side but Salmon Hatchery very interesting to learn sporting and life cycle. Grouse mountain gondola and then to see the two bears and lumberjack show was great. Lastly amazing Capilano bridge and everything with it the cliff walk and treetops. Full day excellent experience
