Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park

Darjeeling Zoo is famous for the rare Red pandas, where one can see them in their natural habitat. It also houses diverse rare species like Snow Leopard, Blue Sheep, Siberian Tiger, Black Bear, which one may not be able to see together in one place.

In addition to being one of the world's top mountaineering colleges, the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute has drawn a lot of tourists because of its gorgeous location in Darjeeling, a hill station. This institute offers a truly captivating perspective of Kanchenjunga, the third highest peak in the world, rising to a height of 8586 meters. The Himalayan climbing Institute museum welcomes up to 500,000 visitors annually who come to view the displays that honor the art, culture, and advancements in the climbing sport. A Panorama of Himalayan Life, Mount Everest Expedition, and Mountaineering History comprise the three divisions of the museum. With the stunning Kanchenjunga in the background, it is perched atop a small pedestal in the center of the institute.

Very good experience!

Took a half day tour of the key attractions in Darjeeling which took around 5 hours. Our tour coordinator Abishek was great and made sure that the arrangement was smooth and seamless. He happens to be an excellent driver as well. Our guide Apeksha provided wonderful hospitality and and gave good explanations of the various attractions across town. A very pleasant experience.
