Overview

Oriental Pearl Tower is the most-visited attraction in Shanghai, which has the functions of urban tourism, fashion catering, shopping, entertainment and historical exhibitions. There is the magical space capsule makes you feel like in space and the Sky Galleria to have a visual enjoyment in high place of the tower. There is also the completely transparent observatory. Oriental Pearl Tower (Dongfang Mingzhu)

This 468 meters (1,536 feet) high tower is the world's sixth and China's second tallest TV and radio tower. As the landmark in Shanghai, you must go up the tower and get a bird's eye view of the whole city, the 360 degree transparent observatory makes you feel like on air. The revolving restaurant inside the second sphere of the Oriental Pearl Tower offers buffet of western style. While dining, you could enjoy the beautiful scene of the city.

Very nice experience, good option if you have only a few hours to visit Shanghai, as the venue has good conection with Pudong Airport. Access was smoth and easy, waiting time was very little. The view is just fantastic.

Put this on the top of your list for Shanghai! We loved it: highly recommend the 3 Balls option as it provides all the viewing opportunities provided: we gasped in disbelief at the multiple wonderful views of Shanghai at night: a wonderland of colour! Excellent: well worth every cent to experience this. TIP: do this one at night and book another tower (nearby) for the following morning: super to get two very different perspectives. We rate this 10/10.

All highly recommended! We liked it, we went with my mom. The payment for the tickets was quick and we already had a ticket for the reserved date. We took a ticket for the third of August from 5 to 7 pm, so that we had the opportunity to admire the beautiful Shanghai sunset. We took a ticket for three balls of the tower at once, so that we could go without queues and directly to the elevators that work by floors of the tower. For the future, if you take a ticket for the two balls in the tower for the glass floor and the regular observation deck, you'll be in a big line. The third ball floor just has expositions dedicated to space. Prices are the same as on Chinese official websites for booking events. We had a blast~
