We had an amazing 2-week vacation through South America that included Peru's Cusco/Machu Picchu, Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, and the Brazilian Amazon. Therefore, it is tough competition about what our family members rate as their top experiences. To a person, our 4 individuals with different personalities and interests rated this Palermo Graffiti Tour as one of the top handful of things we did on vacation. It was interesting and interactive, with just enough walking but not too much. Wonderful and different kinds of street art was revealed and set into context, both in terms of art and in terms of the context. We were able to learn more about the history, the place, and the people of this wonderful area of Buenos Aires.
Our tour guide, Juan, was just the best!! I could tell he used his theatrical training because he was so engaging, entertaining, and informative. He could work with the crowd of people from different parts of the globe. He was also respectful of others on the streets, including residents, as we walked and talked through the neighborhood.
Art challenges and reflects society. Street art in particular engages the visitors of a city and this tour helped us unpack what we were seeing.
We took another street art tour later in our trip in another city and was disappointed as this one set the bar so high!
