Milford Sound with best guide ever!!!!

This was the best experience I've ever had in a tour. The diet was unbelievable and so I'm acknowledgeable. Steve was number one on any guide we have ever had. I would rate this a 10+

A brilliant trip - would highly recommend

This trip was just brilliant and we're so glad we chose this one above the several others on offer. The organisation was superb from start to finish. The hotel pick-up in the morning was exactly on time, there were many sightseeing stops along the way to (and from) Milford Sound, and we were able to board the boat at Milford Sound as soon as we arrived. The boat trip through Milford Sound together with the commentary about the geology and wildlife were interesting and definitely worth the drive time. We'd packed a bit of food in case we needed it but the picnic lunches provided by Cheeky Kiwi were good and we were offered various snacks throughout the day so our own food was left uneaten. However, what the made the trip particularly special and fun was our tour guide - Steve - who was a fount of knowledge about all things to do with New Zealand and a lot else besides. He could answer questions and discuss a vast range of topics and kept our small group (of 15) entertained throughout. Many thanks Cheeky Kiwi Travel for providing such a great day out.

We had a great time with cheeky Kiwi. Sarah was a great guide. The weather was awful to begin with but the waterfalls were amazing. The whole trip was brilliant and Sarah showed us all the things we missed in the rain on the way back in the sunshine. The lunch they provided was fantastic! Would highly recommend.

Great excursion to Milford Sound! Small group of 15 in comfortable van for the drive from Te Anua to Milford with some scenic stops along the way there and again on the way back. Boat size was smaller than the one we were on in Doubtful Sound but comfortable and smooth boat ride the whole two hour ride. Saw Bottlenose dolphins and NZ fur seals. Highly recommend taking this tour from Te Anau not from Queenstown. Te Anau is a quiet and quaint town on lake with nice walking paths while Queenstown is further away and will add to your long day of driving. Queenstown is a beautiful town but very crowded. Recommend staying here afterward you visit Te Anau.
