We met Roko at the Otagi Nenbutsuji Temple where she took photos for us and gave us some history on the temple, which has its own bamboo forest behind the temple and a cemetery. It was perfect as we didn't have to fight the crowds at the other overcrowded bamboo forest! Then she took us to Arashiyama for some shopping and delicious wagyu beef lunch! After lunch we hiked up to the Arashiyama Monkey Park Iwatayama and we had a blast feeding the monkeys. Roko was super nice and took us to some great shops in Arashiyama and was so sweet and patient with taking photos and videos of us! We would highly recommend her to any new visitors that want a local guide and avoid the overcrowded tourist traps.

We had an amazing tour with Takuma! He was so helpful and insightful in teaching us the history of Kyoto and the locations that we visited. We had a really lovely day and want to say a huge thank you. We definitely recommend booking this tour!

Takuma was an amazing guide. Very friendly, energetic and full of knowledge and great stories about Kyoto. He took to us the less touristy spots and we got some amazing pictures. He’s also a great photographer as well so def ask him to take a photo for you. Thank you Takuma!

Soma San…. We cannot thank you enough for organizing this last minute request for private car with local Japanese-English tour guide Nori. Driver Masa was very professional and such a careful and considerate driver! Tour guide Nori was exceptional and so very knowledgeable, always making sure that we were all okay and taking into consideration what we had asked for regarding places of interest and buying omiyage, he was very patient with us and gave us excellent recommendations. He also remembered that we wanted to avoid crowds and therefore made other arrangements for us to see some hidden gems in place of the over crowded site that we had wanted to see. I cannot thank you enough! Price was worth the stress free commute from Osaka and the avoidance of the crowds! If we ever visit Japan again, we will certainly book a tour with you again!! Thank you so much again!
