Our day tour of the Normandy landing beaches and battlefields was the highlight of a 9 day trip to France. We’ve been on many tours and have learned that a tour guide can elevate or deflate any tour. Our guide, Rose, could not have made any this tour any better. She was amazing from the moment she picked us up outside our AirBNB in Bayeux and began our drive to Pointe Du Hoc through lesser traveled local roads and giving us a visual touch of Normandy as it was during the time of the Allied landings 80 years ago. The depth of her knowledge of the D-Day landings and localities throughout the day kept our family of four riveted from Pointe Du Hoc, to Utah and Omaha beaches and finally the Normandy American Cemetery. Rose timed our visit to the Normandy American Cemetery so that we able to watch the daily lowering of both American flags at 4pm. It was another touch that revealed Rose’s expertise for this tour and for this region of France. If you do visit the Normandy American Cemetery, we highly recommend being in attendance for the American flag lowering ceremony. It is an incredible experience.

Bonjour! My wife, young son, and I enjoyed a fantastic day with tour guide Emmanuel, who is well-versed in the region's history and easily navigated our wish to visit pillboxes, tanks, museums, outdoor artifacts, churches, and museums. He tailor-made our experience! Emmanuel understood the time constraint of having only 1 day to explore the landing beaches. Emmanuel went so far as to extend the tour after the evening Taps lowering of the flags at the American Cemetery to visit the artificial harbor during low-tide so we could touch the mulberries at Gold Beach. He accommodated us far beyond expectations, ensuring in our limited time we would get the best experience. He even toured us through the pouring rain with no complaints and expertly navigated the day (with a spare umbrella!). I highly recommend Normandy Sightseeing Tours and vouch for Emmanuel's knowledge and ability to create a memorable tour.
