    Volubilis is the remnant of a Roman city built on the former site of a Punic-Berber city, which was the capital of the kingdom of Mauretania, located in the Saïss plain, in northern Morocco, on the banks of the wadi Rhoumane, a river in the suburbs of Meknes. It is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

The mausoleum of Sultan Moulay Ismail, who made the city his capital in the 17th century, has courtyards and fountains.

It was an amazing tour. Our guide Otman is a nice driver and very good person, speaks so many languages and very open to explain you everything around. We saw the most important places around Fes like Mouly Idriss, Volubilis and Meknes. It was very interesting sunny day. Enjoy it a lot. ☀️☺️

Our second day with Mohamed was wonderful! He was extremely accommodating; even when we asked him to drive us on to Rabat instead of catching the train in Meknes. He is so kind and full of interesting cultural and geographic information. It was a joy getting to know him and we look forward to working with him again some day. ❤️

Had a fantastic trip with our driver Mohammed over several days, going from Marrakesh to Fes, with a day trip to Volubilis. He is incredibly knowledgeable about Morocco's history and culture, great sense of humor, friendly and courteous and he really does treat you like family. Highly recommend and to Mohammed, Lizzie and I will see you again next time au Maroc!
