Niou Shan Hu Ting

Hidden Beach. You’ll also have plenty of space to take it all in at Nushan Huting, as you’re not likely to run into anybody who will disturb your reveries while you are here. Not many tourists, especially foreigners know about this place. The steep cracked winding road down from Highway 11 is certainly not tour bus friendly.

Baqi Gazebo

Baqi Observation Deck is said to be the most beautiful "turning point" of the road. When driving here from Hualien City, while going through the hairpin bends, you will notice the scenery changing suddenly from the verdant mountains on both sides to the vast Pacific Ocean, with Coastal Range towering majestically.

As one of the most famous attractions in east coast, Shitiping is known for its special geology of sea terrain including the wave-cut platforms, uplifted coral reefs, cliffs and the potholes. You can see the tropical fish in tide pools from potholes and other marine life dwell here.

Danongdafu Forest Park

Blessed with a diverse natural ecology, it is suitable for watching flowers in the spring, fireflies and birds in the summer, and maples in the autumn and the winter. Throughout a year, it is charming in its way. The park is equipped with north and south circular bicycle paths, allowing visitors to immerse in phytoncide while appreciating ring-necked pheasants strolling to find food, if lucky. It is simply enjoyable to listen to bugs sing and birds chirp on a bike, in a lush green forest.

Guangfu Sugar Factory

Hualien Sugar Factory is famous for producing more than 30 kinds of naturally flavored ice products. Many people who are traveling through the town of Guangfu stop here to enjoy a huge help of refreshing ice cream in a cool pavilion beside a pool filled with colorful koi carp.

Liyu Lake

Liyu Lake is the largest lake in eastern Taiwan. Various activities can you enjoy in this area, such as peddal boat sailing or bicycle cycling around the lake. You can also stroll along the lakeshore walkway, appreciating the flora and fauna there. Liyu Lake scenic area is suitable for all ages, especially for the whole family.When the sun sets, clouds and mountains are reflected on the lake, and the scenery is quite beautiful.
