Overview

It is a full day private tour provided by a government-licensed guide, covering Peace Memorial Park and Miyajima. Highly flexible and customizable based on your needs. You can walk around the Peace Memorial Park, including the atomic dome bomb, several monuments/statues, the Peace Memorial Museum. During the lunch, you will enjoy best Hiroshima cuisine, Okonomiyaki. You will visit Miyajima island, a World Culture Heritage. The floating torii is amazing and you will feel the beautiful scenery and culture through walking through Itsukushima Shrine & Torii gate. *The tour does not include lunch expense. *We will use public transportation during the itinerary. If you prefer to use taxi for the tour, we can arrange it but the fare will be on your side *When choosing a hotel pick, the guide will meet at your hotel, and we will use public transportation together *Cruise port pickup: Please pay at sight round-trip local taxi between port and the city center

Itinerary

Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park

You will walk around the park, learning Hiroshima's history and cultural heritages. Our guide will explain what kind of messages each monument/statue deliver.

Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum

You will walk trough the Peace Memorial Museum, and will see a number of important exhibitions inside. A ticket is included in this tour. You can go around the museum by yourself, or walk trough with the guide.

Atomic Bomb Dome

A guide will talk about the history of Hiroshima, before and after the WW2. We will visit the atomic bomb dome and you can see the remaining rubble around the dome.

Take tram from city center to Miyajima. During the tram ride, you can see the view of Hiroshima city which has beautiful scenery such as rivers and mountains.

Okonomiyaki Lunch Okonomiyaki is a Hiroshima's local cuisine. It is like Hiroshima pizza.

You will enjoy tram and ferry ride to Miyajima island, a World Culture Heritage. You will visit to Torii gate (floating shrine) and Itsukushima shrine on the island. You will also visit Daishoin Temple, one of the most important temples of Shingon Buddhism.

Take a ferry and Japan Rail from Miyajima island to Hiroshima station. You can enjoy the city view along the way. If you prefer, you can visit the souvenir shops at Hiroshima stations.

Excellent tour! Maki spoke excellent English, was knowledgeable and friendly. We were able to learn about the highlights of the tour and Japanese culture. She was able to answer any of our questions.

Best guide in Hiroshima! Maki is amazing

Maki was a wonderful guide that we had hired in Hiroshima for two days. She’s very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions that we had. She spoke great English, and was easy to understand which is hard to find when traveling in Japan. She knows so much about Hiroshima and its history and we learned so much about this beautiful city in a short amount of time. I highly recommend hiring her either for six or eight hours. She put together a schedule for us based on what we were interested in seeing and learning about, and had some great ideas on things to do on our own as well. She was respectful honest and very pleasant to be around. I would definitely come back to Hiroshima and hire her again as our tour guide. she was wonderful!!!! 10 out 10 stars
