Overview

I'll just put up few reasons why you should go on the tour with me. 1. This is your first time visiting Dubrovnik? That's more of a reason to go on a tour with me. I'll show you all the best spots in Dubrovnik, along with intimate knowledge of city and it's rich history from a perspective of somebody that spent his entire life in Dubrovnik. 2. This is not your first time visiting Dubrovnik? Excellent, along with all the main spots in Dubrovnik we will also be taking side streets that show that Dubrovnik is so much more. 3. You are interested in history? Not a problem, we can go in historical detail about anything in rich history of Dubrovnik and Croatia. 4. You are not interested in history so much? Also not a problem, I can show you the sights where Game of Thrones were filmed and plenty more about a life in Dubrovnik now. My tours are always the smaller groups so in that way I can maximize the experience for all. The tour ends on a basketball court with the best view in the world.

Itinerary

  • Kolorina Bay

    Our tour typically starts in Kolorina bay, where I introduce you to the history and beginnings of Dubrovnik. Also Game of thrones was filmed here so.

    20 minutes

  • Pile Gate

    We will stop by right before the Pile Gate so I can explain to you how the city walls have been built and why. When we enter the city gate there is a map and I'll show you around so you can get your bearings.

    10 minutes

  • Onophrian Fountain

    We stop here so I can tell you about the water supply of old Dubrovnik, Franciscan monastery, Covenant and plenty more.

    20 minutes

  • Sponza Palace

    Sponza Palace is the center of the Old Town of Dubrovnik. We will talk about trade that took place in Dubrovnik, our Patron saint and crime and punishment in Old Dubrovnik. If Sponza Palace is open we will visit it and take a look at memorial museum of Croatian Independence war.

  • Rector's Palace

    Getting to know politics and inner workings of old Dubrovnik before moving on to Cathedral of Dubrovnik and taking a look at religious aspect of life in both past and present Dubrovnik.

    10 minutes

  • Jesuit Staircase

    Stopping by the Jesuit staircase and green market. The Jesuit staircase is now famous for the Game of Thrones scene. Green market is right down the stairs and we will take a look at what ladies have to sell today.

  • Porporela

    Taking a walk to Porporela along the old port of Dubrovnik and explaining the meaning of naval trade in Dubrovnik. Also talking a bit more about the fortifications, breakwater, quarantine and of course the Lokrum Island.

  • Minceta Fortress

    Stopping underneath the Minčeta fortress where we have the best designed basketball court in the world and also basketball court with the best view in the world. This is where we pretty much wrap up the tour.
