Old Cape Point Lighthouse
After exploring the Cape of Good Hope, weāll take a short 5-minute drive to Cape Point. The original lighthouse, built in 1860, was decommissioned 40 years later after studies revealed its high altitude made it ineffective during cloudy weather, causing numerous shipwrecks.
