Hacienda Sotuta de Peon

Join us in an interesting journey to the past, in the heart of the ancient henequen area of Yucatan. The portal is the hacienda, its henequen estates and its machinery operating at the same pace as over one hundred years ago, the house museum that leads us to a time of splendor in history, its magnificent garden and its wind vane that sings with the sound of the cenote water that is under the house and that connects, tell the legends, with the cenote Dzul Ha, mirror of fresh and crystalline water.

Must experience this incredible Hacienda tour!

A exceptional tour offering an abundance of history for the area and demonstration of a henequen hacienda as it was, as well as the unique experience of one of best of the thousands of underground cenotes of the Yucatan. The guides are cordial and very knowledgeable. The mules that lead the carts guiding you through the plantation are well cared for. This tour is definitely a must for any visit to the Yucatan!

Interesting look at the old hacienda set up as a living museum. Demonstrations of rope making and the best group lunch of the tour. Attentive staff and local guide. After the meal we were taken by mule cart to a cynote in the grounds where it was possible to swim. The mule cart ride was fun and the animals looked very well cared for.
