Overview

Having a private guide is the best way to know in detail the secrets of the most important monuments of Seville: the Cathedral and the Alcazar. For about 3 hours, we want to show you the largest Gothic Cathedral in the world, the Cathedral of Seville, where characters that changed the history of mankind, such as Christopher Columbus, are buried. Climbing the almost 100 meters of La Giralda, the Cathedral's tower and ancient Arab minaret is an experience not to be missed in this tour. After the Cathedral, the Alcazar of Seville will make you fall in love with this city: its patios, rooms, gardens...a mixture of two cultures, Christian and Islamic, which in the Alcazar go hand in hand. Optionally you can add a walk through the Santa Cruz neighborhood: the old Jewish quarter of Seville, today you can breathe in its streets tradition and Andalusian culture while walking through its narrow and labyrinthine streets.

    Built over an ancient mosque of which there are still remains, the Cathedral of Seville is considered the largest Gothic cathedral in the world, and one of the most spectacular in Europe. Here we can find the tomb of Christopher Columbus, always surrounded by controversy.

    With its almost 100 meters high, the Giralda of Seville is undoubtedly one of the symbols of this monumental city. Former minaret of the mosque of the city, in Christian times it was reused to be the tower of the Cathedral. Enjoy the views from what was until recently the highest point of the city.

    Beginning its construction in Islamic times, the Alcazar of Seville is a mixture of styles that will not leave you indifferent. Its rooms, patios and gardens are worthy of the splendor that this city lived in the past. Today it is still the residence of the Spanish monarchy on their trips to Seville.

Maria was amazing. She was so knowledgeable and insightful. Her enthusiasm for the history brought everything to life. Her stories snd vibrance made the afternoon really fun, which is not always the case with cathedral tours.

We had a wonderful tour with Christina. She was very knowledgeable of the history of the Alcazar and Cathedral. As well, she explained events in history in general about Spain and could easily answer our questions. The tour was well timed as well. She kept it moving along but gave us a lot of useful information. If you’re a GOT fan she’s got some extra info as well. I would definitely recommend if you prefer a more personalized and in depth experience.

Our second private tour this week with Yannat Tours. Again, great communication from the time we booked to the time the tour started. Very professional. Cristina was our guide for the Alcazar and the Cathedral. Her English proficiency was excellent. She has encyclopedic knowledge of the historical and architectural developments of both sites.
