This 2.5-hour semi-private (12 guest maximum) guided museum tour of the Rijksmuseum will take you through a selection of it’s most important pieces, putting them into context for even the most amateur art lover. Instead of blindly walking through the halls of Holland’s largest museum, let our guides share the stories behind each must-see work of art and artifact.     Holland’s version of the Louvre is a must, and this tour will introduce first-time visitors to the impressive and expansive collection that curates Dutch history over the centuries. For those who aren’t familiar with Dutch culture, we will explore its rich and vibrant past through a selection of paintings and artifacts from the 8000 objects on display. We’ll explore familiar names like Rembrandt while discussing lesser known items like 17th century dollhouses and Vermeer’s portrait of domesticity, “The Milkmaid.” There’s even a fascinating 19th century library containing more stories than we could ever tell. By the end, you’ll have a good overview of the museum’s collection and you may even know how to pronounce its name correctly. No large bags or suitcases are allowed inside the museum, only handbags or small thin bag packs are allowed through security. Due to increased security measures at many attractions some lines may form on tours with 'Skip the Line' or 'No Wait' access. Some specific rooms inside the museum are subjected to a very quiet or restricted right to speak inside, in this cases your guide will provide the information about this places before entering the specific rooms where this rule applies. Some collections may vary along the year.

Tea was absolutely outstanding. She integrated answers to our questions seamlessly. We were on a canal boat tour later that day and some of the other passengers were talking about their visit to the Rijksmuseum, using the . audio guide. They came away feeling overwhelmed - there is so much to see, so much art, so much history- and if you don't have a good base to work from it's just too much. Our tour was the opposite: it left me wanting more (and with this tour you can stay on afterwards- which is not true with all tours). I was a little worried about a 2.5 hour tour seeming long- but it never did. And- you didn't have to be an art fiend to enjoy it: she made it accessible and relatable. It was like tapas- lots of small bites, each one delicious, and at the end you feel really satisfied, not overfull! Absolutely worth every cent.

We had an amazing guide by the name of Anna, and we went through the Reich museum in Amsterdam. She was not only informative, charming, friendly, entertaining, gave us enormous amount of information about paintings that you may not read in books. It was actually an exhilarating experience and I would recommend The tour with Anna anytime.
