Overview

The Hāna Highway is a 64.4-mile long stretch of spectacular views of rainforest, waterfalls, beaches and coastline. On the east after Kalepa Bridge, the highway continues to Kīpahulu on the Piilani Highway. Although Hāna is only about 52 miles from Kahului, it takes about 2.5 hours to drive when no stops are made as the highway is very winding and narrow and passes over 59 bridges, 46 of which are only one lane wide. There are approximately 620 curves along Route 360 from just east of Kahului to Hāna, virtually all of it through lush, tropical rainforest. Many of the concrete and steel bridges date back to 1910 and all but one are still in use. This full-day trip to the Hana coast has the best scenic drive along the shorelines of Maui.

A great experience in Hana!

Our Hana Highway tour was amazing! We had a great tour guide, Lepa! She did a great job of talking to us about the culture on the island, as well as taking to places we never would have found if not for this tour! My wife and I love to eat, get a history of the area, and see things we wouldn't normally see, and this tour had all of that! Lepa has a clean, comfortable vehicle and we felt very safe the entire time. She almost made some accomodations for us which was fantastic! Overall this is a great tour and I would request Lepa again!

Be prepared for a full day adventure. The tour guide made us feel very comfortable on the road to Hana and I would recommend this trip.

Tom was a fantastic driver , guide, and entertainer. Saw all of the sites and learned a great deal. Black sand beach body surfing was amazing and the blow hole was booming. Do yourself a favour and don’t drive it yourself as it’s too hard to keep your eyes on the road!

Justin was amazing! He knew everything about the island and was an amazing driver. Incredible experience. There was so much to see and lots of good food along the way.

This tour is absolutely the best way to experience the road to Hana. Our tour guide Valerie, the only native tour guide with this company, was absolutely amazing and provided us with so much history of the land. She knew all the special stops to make and even provided us with some language lessons.
