We were coming in from Chiswick and took an uber to arrive on time, only to get caught in tons of traffic. I contacted the tour and told them that we were running late, and asked if we could meet them at one of the food stops. They responded very quickly and said that the food tour would leave at the appointed time, but they had another guide who would meet us at the meeting place. We assumed that he would help us meet up with the group--instead we were so lucky to get Kevin Bond as our guide as he just happened to be off work that day, and we had a tour with only us.
Kevin was an awesome guide, who gave us lots of history of the various foods that we tried, as well as some good stories about different spots in London and some history, as well. He also took us to a spot where we got to watch the changing of the guard.
The food was great! We loved the scotch egg, the cheese in the cheese shop was delicious, the chocolate was awesome and we ended with a "proper English afternoon tea".
If you are looking for a great food tour that includes great tastings, good history and interesting facts about London, we would definitely recommend this tour. Thanks, Kevin, for a fantastic day!
