Most amazing solo trip this year

Published on Dec, 2024

My recent solo trip to Portugal turned out to be an experience of a lifetime, and a significant part of that wonderful journey was the private tour of Sintra and Cascais with Julio. Julio is not only a remarkably knowledgeable guide but also a warm, personable individual. His passion for this beautiful country and its rich history is truly infectious. The tour began in Sintra, a picturesque town that feels like a step back in time. Julio expertly navigated the winding streets and hidden gems, sharing fascinating stories and insights that you wouldn’t find in any guidebook. We visited the mesmerizing Pena Palace with its vivid colors and fairy-tale architecture. He also knew the best spots for photos, ensuring I captured the beauty of the place perfectly. One of the highlights was the visit to Quinta da Regaleira, where Julio’s narration brought the mystical gardens and the enigmatic Initiation Well to life. His storytelling ability turns sightseeing into an engaging journey through time. After soaking in the splendor of Sintra, we headed to Cascais, a charming coastal town. Julio’s local knowledge was invaluable here as well – from the best local eateries to the most beautiful, less-traveled paths along the coast. The leisurely stroll along the marina and the visit to the dramatic Boca do Inferno (Mouth of Hell) were particularly memorable. Julio’s seamless organization and attention to detail ensured that the tour flowed effortlessly. He was attentive to my interests and adjusted the itinerary to create a personalized experience that went beyond my expectations. His recommendations for authentic local spots for lunch and coffee breaks were spot-on, allowing me to savor the regional cuisine and culture. Traveling solo, I appreciated Julio’s considerate and friendly nature. He made sure I felt comfortable and safe throughout the tour. His genuine enthusiasm and dedication to sharing the beauty and heritage of Portugal made the day unforgettable. In conclusion, if you’re planning a trip to Portugal, I cannot recommend a private tour with Julio enough. His expertise, passion, and personable approach turned what could have been a simple sightseeing day into an enriching and delightful adventure. Thank you, Julio, for making my trip to Portugal so special! Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)

A memorable day in Sintra and surrounds

Published on Nov, 2024

We were lucky enough to get Leo as our tour guide. We don't normally do a private tour, but it included everything we were after in Sintra plus tickets to three monuments, so was totally worth it to fit everything in one day. Leo picked us up in a convertible, took us to extra spots because we had the time, he had great tips to make the most of each spot, and took some of my favourite photos from our time in Sintra and surrounds. Only heads up is that the monuments are done yourself, not guided. We had an awesome day, thanks Leo!

A Great Day of Touring with Miguel!

Published on Nov, 2024

Our tour with Miguel was everything we’d hope it would be and more! Miguel is easy going and very personable, which made our day with him very enjoyable. His knowledge of the area and the monuments was certainly appreciated, giving us tremendous insight into how life was in past centuries. Throughout the day, Miguel kept checking with us to ensure we were seeing all the sights we wanted to, while giving us guidance on what not to miss and how much time should be spent at the sites we wanted to see. At our request, Miguel took us to a very authentic Portuguese restaurant for lunch that was truly amazing! The scenery that Miguel exposed us to was breathtaking, from walking the cliffs of Cabo da Roca to watching the sun set with the locals at Cascais, all very memorable moments. Communication with O turista! Tours and Trips and Miguel was great, confirming our itinerary a few days ahead of time as well as pick up location and time. And when we were looking for information or needed to contact them, their responses were quick and helpful. We would certainly recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore the area, learn about the vast history it offers and experience the culture it provides! And thanks to Miguel for making our tour a memorable one!

Our best decision in Portugal.
