This admission ticket provides access to 'Ride to the Top,' the glass-enclosed elevator that whisks you up to the indoor and outdoor observation deck, which stands 775 feet (236 meters) above the waterfalls.     Your visit to Skylon Tower begins with the 'Ride to the Top' in the glass-enclosed exterior elevator, which provides a smooth, 52-second trip to the expansive indoor and outdoor observation deck. Take in the aerial views of Horseshoe Falls, American Falls, Great Gorge, and the Niagara River from the top of the tower, the region's tallest free-standing structure. You can also spot the Niagara wine region and the skyscrapers of Toronto and Buffalo on a clear day, when the view extends beyond 77 miles (125 km).

At a height of more than 235 meters above the falls, the Skylon Tower offers a spectacular bird's eye view of Niagara Falls, the Niagara Escarpment, and the city. The most iconic landmark in Niagara Falls is Skylon Tower, overlooking both the American and Canadian falls, the panoramic view from the top of Skylon Tower is truly breathtaking. Yes, you will have many points in the city, offer a splendid view but what about view from an elevated position- you can't beat it. Skylon Tower turned out to be one of my favorite experiences in Niagara Falls. At the time of our trip, simply taking the elevator to the top was CAD 19 per person. We did not opt for dining experience. Elevator # 3 (often called ‘bug’) mounted outside, takes 52 seconds to get to the top. On a clear day, you can see the skylines of Buffalo and Toronto. The tower features an indoor/outdoor observation area and two restaurants. There are some food and shopping options on the first floor. Also, on the basement level, there are some video games and more snack options. Fact: Skylon Tower was designed by the Toronto architectural firm Bregman and Hamann, which was inspired by the Space Needle in Seattle that was constructed for the World’s Fair in 1962.

A must stop while at the Canadian Niagara Falls

This visit was worth the stop as it created a view un-matched in the area of not only the Niagra Falls but of the local area. Every view had a history breakdown of what was there and the impact on the community. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Of course the restaurant was very good. Highly recommend to get a bite there but secure reservations as it is the easiest way to enjoy the food and have a view.

The Observation Tower view did not disappoint. While it was very windy on my date, the views were spectacular. I got to see both the dusk and night view. It is worth it. It was so nice to have the elevator ride included. It is a bonus to arrive early, park in Skylon’s lot, as it can be there all day, while you tour other areas in Canada.

The views were amazing up on the decks. I get a bit nervous with heights but I felt fine because it was just beautiful! The elevator ride up was smooth which was great for me.
