We did a different hike (Larano) as PR1 was closed. Still it was a very nice experience, easy hike with amazing views! Our guide and driver were both very friendly

Even with clouds for most of our hike, David provided us an AMAZING tour and time! So knowledgeable and passionate about the island and mountains, we learned so much and he knew just where to stop to give us chances to take advantage of the limited views that came our way thanks to cloud cover. There are a ton of choices out there, this is the one!!! Fully adjusts to fit the pace of the group, autonomy when you want it, detailed storytelling when you want it too. Perfect balance from a great guide!

David was a great guide, very knowledgeable. He was happy for everyone to find their own pace, quite a challenging hike for us but well worth the effort. Would highly recommend this tour.

Where do I begin? Nico and David made our dream holiday adventure into a reality. We completed the peak-to-peak sunrise hike. Both guides were professional yet extremely welcoming and friendly. They were punctual, kept fantastic communication with us until other time of our trip, were extremely knowledgeable throughout the hike and did everything they could to accommodate our needs. During the hike, the pace was adapted to suit our pace of walking and there was a good balance of information and quiet time provided, meaning we could learn whilst also having time to soak up the views and focus on the hike! We felt super safe throughout our experience and felt as though we had the ‘upper hand’ by having a tour guide (top tips for the walk, best parts of the island and a personal photographer!). Additionally, we stopped off at Santana on the way home and got to explore the village market as well as the famous sights. Lastly, our tour guide was able to capture a truly special moment for us, that will last a lifetime. We are ever grateful for the videography skills! Nothing was too much to ask and we could not recommend the team highly enough. We will never forget this experience! Thank you so much.

My experience with the Sunrise on Pico do Areeiro and hike to Pico Ruivo was absolutely outstanding. From the start, communication with Nico was clear and efficient, and they were incredibly accommodating when we had a slight change in our plans. They made sure everything went smoothly, adjusting to our needs without any hassle. The guide, David, was exceptional. He made the hike enjoyable and safe, adjusting the pace. His extensive knowledge about the trail, local nature, ecosystem, and the history of Madeira was impressive and added a lot of value to the experience. I learned so much during the hike! The hike itself was breathtaking, with stunning views that were truly unforgettable. We stopped in Santana on the way back to see the houses, which was a delightful addition to an already fantastic day. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore the beauty of Madeira with a professional and very friendly team!
