Overview

Live a unique experience: the sunset tour of the suggestive Valley of the Temples in Agrigento, one of the most extraordinary archaeological areas in the world. Inscribed in 1997 as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this marvelous valley extends over a plateau not far from the sea and boasts an excellent state of conservation, housing important Doric temples dating back to the Hellenic period. The magic begins at sunset, when the golden rays of the sun envelop the Valley of the Temples, creating an enchanting and suggestive atmosphere and the beauty of the temples intensifies, offering a unique and breathtaking view. Originally there were eleven temples and, still today, together with our local guide, you will be able to admire the remains of five of them. Don't miss the opportunity to admire the beauty and grandeur of this historic place in one of the most evocative moments of the day.

    You will admire the Temple of Hera, reaching the remains of the early Christian necropolis and then continue with the Temple of Concordia, the Temple of Heracles and the remains of the Temple of Zeus.

  • The tour ends at a different point from the meeting, usually at the Temple of Zeus
  • The skip-the-line ticket guarantees priority exclusively at the ticket office; For security checks it is not possible to skip the queue and you will have to wait your turn
  • If you arrive late at the meeting point it will not be possible to take part in the guided tour, as the entrance ticket is valid only and exclusively at the start time of the tour.
  • The whisper service is not provided for children. If you want to add the whisper for children you can request it and pay it to the guide directly on site

not an English only tour - keep looking for another provider

Our guide was basic; the group was 1/2 in Italian and 1/2 in English (contrary to being advertised as an ENGLISH Tour) which meant that lots of the information given in one language was not always repeated in English. It was a struggle to hear what was being said in English as the guide spoke very softly and kept turning her head in different directions. audio headset would have greatly improved the experience. Questions from some of the English visitors were left unanswered, which was not the case with to the other group. Frustrating, feeling that the tour was misrepresented as being IN ENGLISH.

Rosalina was a great guide, very patient with a large group who were late, and then kept getting lost. A long, informative and comprehensive walk around the temples. Very hot going, and busy. Well worth the effort.

Our guide Liz was Wonderful! Performed an Ancient Greek Marriage by temple. As it was done in the past. Informative and Beautiful. Sunset Tour was great we couldn’t stay but the sites are lit at night
