Discover Costa Rica´s largest network of naturally flowing thermal mineral springs in Arenal’s largest and most beautiful private, rainforest reserve. Tabacon is flanked by the beautiful Arenal Volcano at one end and the Arenal Volcano National Park on the other. The road here literally takes you to the heard of the jungle, so expect the sounds and sights of the native flora and fauna to flood your senses. This is where the thermal experience begins. There are five main springs source highly mineralized water that is heated underground by the Arenal Volcano’s magma. Thousands of gallons of this perfect water naturally emanate every minute. The thermal water flows throughout the resort, forming the Tabacon River. You will find dozens of cascading waterfalls and warm pools along the riverbed, of varying temperatures, water flows and degree of privacy. Relaixng, Enjoyable Experience

This was a last minute thing, since another tour was cancelled last minute. My travel agent was able to get me in same day, which I didn't expect. I did the day pass with lunch. The restaurant is lovely, good views of the springs and wildlife. The waiter was attentive and friendly and pointed out various birds and an iguana so I could get pictures. The food was delicious - the portions were huge! After lunch I did the springs. I don't like lots of people around ma but it wasn't crowded at all and I felt like I had my own space. I just wandered around, sat in this spring or that, until I found one that I just sat in for a bit. I didn't feel rushed, like I was intruding on anyone or that I was intruded upon. The facilities were clean and the staff was friendly. A great way to spend an afternoon-I would definitely go back!

Very relaxing. Not crowded at all. Good food and drinks. Excellent way to spend the day. Get there early to get a cabana that are first come/first served.

We loved the night package- since it’s so hot during the day going at night or evening (since the sun sets early at like 6pm) is the way to go because it’s a little cooler and you can comfortably enjoy the hot springs longer. The dinner was a fixed menu 3 course, and was delicious Costa Rican food. Having a reservation helped us a lot because the springs was busy. Our tickets started our access at 6pm and we got there right at 6pm, dinner was at 7pm.

Great place but book direct

It's $85 dollars to just do it yourself. Why would you pay $105? Go their website and book your reservation online with the hot springs directly. It really is a great place, a big mix of natural rock formations with hot springs flowing through streams, beds, waterfalls, as well as several plunge areas with either hot mineral water or colder 71 degree temps. They also have a superheated pool which frankly gets too hot. The food you get is meh, but its a great deal still since the place and facilities are well done.
