Delhi Belly Food Tour – A Love Letter to Delhi’s Street Food

I don’t usually write reviews, but this experience deserves one. As someone who’s always been fascinated by street food but a little hesitant about where to go, the **Delhi Belly Food Tour** was exactly what I needed. From the moment we met our guide, it felt less like a tour and more like being taken around by a food-obsessed friend. We walked through the buzzing lanes of Old Delhi, stopping at places that have been serving food for generations. The **parathas at Paranthe Wali Gali** were nothing like the ones I’ve had before—crispy, stuffed to the brim, and dripping with nostalgia. Then came the **kebabs**, smoky and tender, served with mint chutney that made all the difference. But the real star for me? The **chaat**—sweet, spicy, tangy, and crunchy, all in one bite. It was the kind of food that wakes up every single taste bud. And just when I thought I couldn't eat anymore, we ended with the **richest, creamiest lassi**, served in an earthen cup. This is a great way to explore Old Delhi with a friendly local and eat LOTS of the best street food available. Some of the food places are well known but for others you need the local knowledge to find them in the warren of streets that is Chandni Chowk. And it's not just about the food - you also visit lots of specialized markets eg wedding dresses, shoes and stationery. The spice markets are like none other with vendors selling all types of spices, dried fruit, nuts and teas. The guide makes sure you have a good time, eat lots of delicious food and learn about life for the locals. Definitely recommend this tour.
