Overview

A comprehensive exploration of Boson's original neighborhoods and a complete retelling of the American Revolution from the founding of Boston to the Declaration of Independence. Unlike most tours which limit themselves exclusively to what's on the Freedom Trail (in whichever order and direction it happens to go) this tour takes a wholistic approach to the city and the story. We follow a curated route visiting 14 iconic landmarks in the same order the history unfolded, pulling everything together into an immersive citywide narrative that recreates the drama and brings to life the passions personalities, and psychologies that invented America. There are no big crowds or cheesy costumes. This tour combines expert insights with a light-hearted sense of humor and expands beyond "just" the Freedom Trail so you will enjoy the charm of the old town while getting a real sense of the beautiful and booming modern city as well. Awarded Boston Magazine's Best Historical Tour in 2022

Cool tour and history of Boston

Published on Dec, 2024

Tyler was our tour guide. The weather was rough, but Tyler had great communication prior to asking if we wanted to cancel or reschedule. The other people signed up had cancelled or rescheduled so it was just my wife, myself and Tyler. It was a great experience! I recommend this for anyone that wants to brush up on their history of this cool city.

The absolute highlight of...

The absolute highlight of our trip to Boston. Would highly recommend and we are still talking about all we learned. Super fun and enjoyable for kids as well. It felt like we were taken back in time and all the characters were brought to life.

Fantastic Tour!!!

Tyler was an incredibly engaging historian! I've traveled the world and he was one of the best tour guides I've had. Would highly recommend to young and old who are interested in a historical walking tour of Boston!

THIS is the Freedom Trail tour to do!

Published on Dec, 2024

Tyler tells the story of the American revolution in a very engaging and informative way, by highlighting the key players and sharing information about them that many of us either never knew or had long forgotten. It was a frigid day, yet the way Tyler shared not just how things happened but more importantly the why behind the events made braving the temperatures worth it! He used maps to help orient us and to ensure we had a full understanding. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the American Revolution, explaining what happened in the decades leading up to the War for Independence. He has a great teacher’s voice for projecting, and because the groups are kept small in number we never had a hard time hearing him and felt comfortable asking questions. We appreciated when he took advantage of the sunlight and when he used a bus shelter to provide us some relief from the wind as he explained things to us. His enthusiasm for the topic and for sharing it with us was fantastic!

Amazing tour
