I Trulli di Alberobello - World Heritage Site

During the journey along the sections of the museum it is possible to delve into the historical path of the city, the main productive agricultural activities, the architectural techniques and the everyday life of the inhabitants of Alberobello of the past.

Trullo Siamese

On the top of Via Monte Nero, built on the outcropping rock, and surrounded by a buttress, with raw foundations, made up of boulders, this particular trullo appears, probably among the oldest in Alberobello. Its peculiarity lies in the double shape of the roof: a continuous double cone. From the outside, the recess between the two cones appears continuous precisely because it was filled in, or "saddled" by the master trullaro who built the building.

Trullo Sovrano

The audio guide will explain the history and origins of the only trullo in Alberobello developed on two floors. With a 14 meter high dome, the triangular pediment of the façade rises up to the first floor, which is accessed via a staircase ingeniously created in one of the load-bearing walls. Locorotondo

Locorotondo is one of the most fascinating villages in the Itria Valley, known for its particular circular shape and its white streets lined with stone houses. During the visit, you can walk through the narrow and panoramic alleys, admire the elegant architecture with the typical "cummerse" (houses with conical roofs) and enjoy a breathtaking view of the surrounding countryside. The historic center is characterized by churches, cozy squares and picturesque corners, where you can stop to taste the typical Apulian dishes and discover the local wine tradition. An immersive experience that makes you discover the beauty and authenticity of the place.

Martina Franca

In the historic center of Martina Franca, tourists will be immersed in the beauty of the Apulian Baroque. They will stroll through elegant noble palaces, ornate arches and picturesque alleys, admiring monuments such as the Basilica of San Martino and the Ducal Palace. The unique atmosphere of the village, with its architectural details and bright colors, gives an authentic and suggestive experience.

Piazza Della Liberta

The driver will leave you in the heart of the white city of Puglia: Piazza della Libertà. The main square of Ostuni, overlooked by Palazzo San Francesco, a nineteenth-century renovation of the former fourteenth-century convent of the Franciscan friars, now the seat of the Town Hall. At the bottom of Piazza della Libertà stands the Obelisk of Sant'Oronzo, sculpted in the eighteenth century.

In the Frantoio Rosso Ipogeo, a unique place carved into the rock, visitors will discover the ancient olive oil production process, surrounded by a suggestive atmosphere and rich in history. At the end of the visit, an exclusive tasting will be offered with typical Apulian products: Capocollo of Martina Franca, fresh Mozzarella, Friselle seasoned with high quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil, accompanied by a glass of local red or white wine. An authentic experience that enriches the tour with the flavors and traditions of Puglia.

Very nice tour of the three cities with lots of time to see the sights and walk around. The tasting was nice, delicious cheeses and cold cuts.
