There are not enough words to describe how amazing our food tour was with Virginia. While Virginia has only started Filiko Tours a few months ago, she has a lifetime of experience and is a true local. We had maybe 16+ different tastings with 6+ stops (we lost count!) where we experienced truly authentic Cretan cuisine. As we walked around Rethymno, it was obvious that this was Virginia's home and livelihood. People would wave and say hi to us through the streets, and as we would walk through the alleyways (which were absolutely gorgeous) we would be brought to hidden local spots and squares amongst the town and off the beaten path. Each spot Virginia chose was thoughtfully made, providing a fully rounded dining experience, as well as adjusting to minor allergies and preferences along the way. Each restaurant was also family-owned ensuring that our experience was homegrown and heart felt. Highly recommend this tour and if we ever come back or suggest to friends, a tour with Virginia will definitely be at the top of our list.
