Thanks to Inaki for suggesting this tour. It was more than we had hoped for. Alejandro and Ernesto provided us with a day full of amazing sites, local treats, and they answered every question and more. This trip was definitely the highlight of our stay in Costa Rica.

The highlight of my week trip…fun and exciting memories. Our tour guide, is a walking book, entertainer/singer, comedian, park ranger, botanist, herbalist, etc — hola, Daniel! They sent pictures too for you to show back home. Victorino drove us safely. Customer service is excellent — hola, Wendy! Llanos del Cortez was wonderful just wished we could have stayed longer…perhaps an hour or two ( heck I could stay here for half a day!!!) Lunch was delicious…they have a small butterfly garden in the property while your lunch is prepared! Coffee/chocolate tour - old fashion way of making drinks! Coffee was very good, and I dont even drink coffee! Cocoa drink w/ sugar cane stick, my favorite…yummy! Rainforest hike and hanging bridges — again, Daniel will tell you all the exciting plants, trees, etc growing in the park, slopes of the Tenorio Volcano, so take notes! Hanging bridges just beatiful! If you are concerned of the hike, I would recommend a stick. You can do it and enjoy! I am almost 67 (yes next month) and love this tour!!!! By the way, your fellow travelers/adventures become your long lost friends/family! PURA VIDA!!!

Went with my husband and 4 year old daughter. We had an amazing trip. Daniel was an excellent guide very knowledgeable and personable. Victor was our driver and we felt very safe on the road. We were lucky enough to see howler monkeys at the waterfall and juvenile sloth and tapir up close, along with some frogs, adult sloth & toucans in the trees. You definitely need a guide to spot these animals!

Carlos and Gustavo were great and really provided an amazing experience. We got to see over a dozen toucans and sloths. I roiled highly recommend the tour.

If there was an option to give it 6/5, I would. Our guy Carlos was amazing and super knowledgeable. Our driver Adonai was safe and friendly. Carlos could speak to every animal and plant and had a lot of passion about the beautiful biodiversity of Costa Rica. They were amazing and the tour is super organized. I can’t believe how many things we did in the space of several hours. We stopped at a local market that was very clean and had nice fruit. Then we went on a trail to see wildlife and saw so much. Carlos was great to tell us ahead of time we may not see anything, but he explained that we would go there first because it was likely to rain later and the animals would be hard to see in the rain. He had a great eye for the wildlife and even stopped the van at one point when we saw a toucan. We saw several sloths, they were amazing. We also saw a few of the colorful frogs, a large Tapir, many exotic birds, and even a couple small snakes. Then we went and had a typical lunch that was really well done in a nice clean restaurant. They had a butterfly sanctuary there we should walk in and be with a bunch of butterflies which was kind of fun. After lunch, we went up to the canopy of the rainforest and did a hike. It was about a mile or so long and had a few suspension brushes. Really great vistas off the side of the slopes of the volcano. Carlos again is very knowledgeable about all the various plants, etc.. We really enjoyed it. The bridges were fun and while they’re hanging bridges, they seemed pretty safe. After that we still weren’t done. We stopped at a place to see coffee and cacao beans and learn how they make everything. We got a sample some fresh hot chocolate with sugarcane that was really good. We then stopped at a waterfall that was really pretty and refreshing after a long day in the humid climate. Finally, we stopped at a shopping area, which was obviously a tourist trap with fairly high prices, but they give them free chocolate samples and it was nice to grab a few souvenirs as a selection was very plentiful. Overall, I can’t say enough about how great the trip was. If you have one day to see a bunch of stuff, this is the tour for you. It was absolutely perfect. The rainforest, the wildlife, the food, and just the overall experience was a great way to see Costa Rica while sneaking away from our hotel on the beach for a day. The only thing I would make sure is that you know where your hotel is and make sure it’s something where they can pick you up from. Check with the tour operator or travel agent. They seem to arrest most major hotels, though I heard some that were remote took a while to get there. Again, I couldn’t recommend more highly this tour!
