If you want to take advantage of your stay in Venice to get to know Italy a little better, don't miss the opportunity to visit Verona. Halfway between Venice and Milan, this romantic city is ideal for walking aimlessly through its cobbled streets and enjoying the daily life of its inhabitants. You will take a train tour from Venice through the Veneto region and upon arrival in Verona you will learn first-hand the culture and history of this city with a professional guide who will accompany you throughout the tour and show you the highlights of this town. After the tour enjoy some free time on your own, and during this free time, you can opt to visit the House of Juliette, although the ticket entrance is not included in the price. In case you want to visit it, we recommend you to book them online to not spend more time than necessary waiting in the queue

    Verona is an ancient medieval city built on the meandering Adige River. It is famous as the setting for Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet". From Venice, you will be taking a train to the city.

  • Stazione Ferroviaria Verona Porta Nuova

    Built between 1914 and 1915 has been renovated during the years. This will be the starting point of the tour in Verona. From the railway station of Verona, you will walk up to the city center, where the guided tour of the city will begin, with a length of approximately 1 hour. After that, you will be given free time to spend it as you prefer.

  • Porta Borsari - World Heritage Site (Pass By)

    This was the old gate in the walls of Verona. Its construction dates back to the 1st century AD. Its name is due to the soldiers who collected the tariffs when entering the city, the borsari

  • Arena di Verona (Pass By)

    It is the site of the ancient Roman Amphitheater and is now the venue where different operas and concerts are performed. It has a capacity of 22,000 spectators.

  • Piazza Bra (Pass By)

    It is one of the largest in Italy and although it was not considered a square until the first half of the 16th century, today it is the center of Verona and a place full of bars and restaurants to enjoy the life of the inhabitants of Verona.

  • Ponte Pietra (Pass By)

    It is the only Roman bridge left in the city. With its 5 arches it joins the city center with the shore that houses the Castle of San Pietro

  • Piazza delle Erbe

    This square has a great architectural legacy with mixed buildings from the Roman, Baroque and medieval times. The Roman forum used to be here

Good tour!

Guide escorted us by train to Verona where we did a walking tour of the top sites. We had free time and I was able to see Juliette’s house and the coliseum. Guide helped us purchase tickets in advance on the train/online - so we could skip the lines and save time. Tour has an early morning start but it gets hot and crowded after 1pm so the early morning start is worth it! Guide was knowledgeable and accommodating.

Tour guide was very good and she explained everything in both English and Spanish , taking time so everyone knows about the items being shown. Tour itself was very good and you are given the option to stay longer on your own if wanted.
