Discover New Zealand’s iconic Piha Beach on our West Coast Discovery tour! Starting with a pick-up from Auckland CBD, enjoy a 30-minute scenic drive through the Waitakere Ranges. Our first stop is the Arataki Visitor Centre, where you’ll learn about New Zealand’s native trees and enjoy sweeping views over the ranges—an ideal start to exploring the west coast. Next, we take a 20-minute drive to Karekare Waterfalls, where a short, easy walk leads you to this stunning natural site, perfect for photos. Then, we head to the famous Piha Surf Beach, known for its black iron-sand and thrilling waves from the Tasman Sea. Relax on the beach, swim, or hike up Lion Rock, which sits majestically in the middle of Piha, offering incredible views and photo opportunities. After soaking in Piha’s beauty, we’ll drive back to Auckland CBD.

Piha beach, Kitekite falls and Artichoke landing. Amazing trip - well done Nancy our guide. This trip had everything-best beach in the world, a waterfall that is spectacular and travel thru the rainforest

John looked after our group of 11 for 5 days! Every morning was on time, gave us a lot of facts along the road, and was the superstar of our trip! Also a big shootout to Peter, who helped us a lot with planning all this trip, so when we arrived from Europe we already had all hotels and our activities pre-booked! If ever traveling again in NZ would definitely choose Auckland and Beyond again. Best wishes from Lithuania ;)

Awesome day trip between cities and stop at the Waitomo Glowworm Caves

Just wanted to thank our driver. Chris, for the excellent driving and knowledgeable commentary on our drive from Aukland to Rotorua. He really filled in the time between the cities and our stop at the Waitomo Glow Worm Caves. He really made the daylong trip an experience in knowing more about New Zealand than just point out the various sites. Thanks again Chris and Auckland & Beyond Tours - Highly recommend both!
