The Uros Islands kayaking half day tour travels within the heart of the Lake Titicaca National Reserve, habit of endemic and migrant birds and location for reed man made floating islands on Wily river. Your Uros Island Kayaking Tour starts at 9:00am, after an early hotel breakfast, with pick-up from your Puno hotel to kayak dock. At this point you’ll wear personal floatation device, enter in your Kayak and start sailing on Lake Titicaca, but not so fast first your English speaking guide will get you prepared for the day ahead and fitted into your kayaks. Get elemental kayak paddling instructions, paddling techniques and more. Now, you can begin paddling at your own rhythm without any pressure. This Titicaca kayak adventure drives you through unique Uros landscapes, a place where high plateau sky and lake is one, blue water ways, green carpeted reeds (mostly in rainy seasons) and native birds living around in their natural habitat all this is amazing.

A perfect day on the lake!

Highly recommended! We spent 5 hrs with Hever who took us on a beautiful kayak tour on Lake Titicaca. We explored the reed beds, seeing many native birds and learning much about the history and ecology of the lake. A stop at Uros at a floating island was informative and entertaining! We then stopped for a delicious and filling lunch before paddling up a canal back to Puno. Hever, a local islander, was attentive to our needs and great company! Well worth it!

Our guide Ronal was so kind and informative. There was a support boat that followed us to carry our things or in case we needed help. We felt safe throughout the whole tour. We were a little nervous that the physical activity in the high altitude was going to be tough but it was totally fine for us! The kayaking was not strenuous (we came from Cusco). The time on the island learning about the Uros was great too! Very informative and interesting. This was definitely a less typical way to explore Titikaka as we were the only kayakers in the water. We’re so glad we did this tour and would highly recommend it!

Experience Uros islands close to nature

A great way to experience the Uros islands, away from big tourist groups, close to nature, getting an (arm) workout on top. Very interesting to learn about how the islands are built and the livestyle on the islands. It was a very authentic experience and Ronny was great at communicating before and during the trip.

The tour was great! The guides were really friendly. The people living on the islands took so much effort showing us their culture. My Host-Mother was very kind and caregiving. My tour on the Titicaca Lake was an amazing experience.
