Experience the epitome of Rome as you ride our professional electric bikes through the lush meadows and captivating archaeological sites of the Ancient Appian Way, like the Regional Park! Descend 40 feet through a Roman quarry and uncover a story that has remained hidden for centuries. We will tell you a story which has remained untold for a long time. Quiet yet fascinating galleries which once hosted ancient roman catacombs were later turned into air raid shelters during the World War ll; Here we will taste a drink particularly appreciated by the Romans, the so-called Mulsum, a honey wine. The catacombs of San Callisto are part of the so-called Callistian complex, an area of about 30 hectares between the Via Appia Antica, the Via Ardeatina and the Via delle Sette Chiese, in Rome, which houses various funerary areas and catacombs

    An imposing southern gateway to the city of Rome. The Porta di San Sebastiano, part of the Aurelian Walls built around 275 AD, also marks the beginning of the historic Via Appia Antica. Be enchanted by its beauty and discover the numerous medieval graffiti that testify to the flow of pilgrims over the centuries.

  • Appian Way (Via Appia Antica)

    Discover the secrets that have remained hidden for centuries by descending 40 feet through a Roman quarry. We will tell you a story that has not been told for a long time. Silent but fascinating tunnels that once housed ancient Roman catacombs were later transformed into air raid shelters during the Second World War; Here we will taste a glass of Roman wine particularly appreciated by the ancient Romans, the so-called Mulsum, a honey wine.

    This majestic mausoleum is a pagan tomb dedicated to Cecilia Metella, dating back to the 1st century BC. Incorporated into the Castrum Caetani, it remains the best preserved mausoleum on the Via Appia Antica. Here you can also appreciate the remains of the medieval house of the wealthy Caetani family and the church of San Nicola of which only the perimeter walls remain standing

    Visit to the official funerary complex of the Church of Rome. The largest underground cemetery in the city with corridors that reach a length of about 20km. The catacombs of St. Callixtus, a sacred place dating back to the second century BC, take their name from the deacon Callixtus I. More than 50 martyrs and 16 popes and half a million Christians were buried here.

An amazing experince in Rome

An incredible experience! All of us loved it, kids and adults! In the heart of Rome being to see what we did was amazing. Nature, history, fun and activity. Flávio was also a great guide and the bikes were great.

Awesome adventure and Filipe was amazing! I was a little surprised that our tour guide wasn't taking us through the catecomes that was a private part of the tour and all the real fun starts after that!

Exploring the underground labyrinth was fascinating, visiting the catacombs was a truly powerful experience, and standing on the Appian Way is simply surreal. Filippo is very knowledgeable, friendly, and cautious as to the safely of the whole group riding on this tour. We highly recommend the experience!

Very fun and different view of Rome. Ricardo (and Nico) did an excellent job. Appreciate that Ricardo was able to be flexible when the roads were closed. We enjoyed the caves a lot. Even enjoyed the rain downpour.

Filippo was an outstanding guide (knowledgeable, helpful and friendly) and the tour was wonderful! The cave and catacomb portion was deliciously cool and refreshing (65 degrees F) and and pedal-assist e-bikes were a dream. Would highly recommend as a fun excursion and way to learn some of the history of Roma!
