Overview

Take a guided day trip to Costa Rica’s La Fortuna district for a luxurious day of hot spring soaks and rainforest views. The hike near the Arenal Volcano National Park offers a chance to walk on petrified lava from old eruptions. Walk on suspended bridges over the rainforest canopy. Lunch and dinner are included in this full-day tour highlighting all of Costa Rica’s natural wonders.

Arenal Volcano

Enjoy La Fortuna by either taking the choice of walking nearby the Arenal Volcano national park to admire the lava flows from past eruptions and know everything about the recent volcanic activity of this colossus volcano, plus the view from the Arenal Lake, Great hike!! We can choose between the Volcano Hike or The Mistico Hanging Bridges Preserve, where we can take a very soft but gratifying hike along a very well-done trail that offers great panoramic views of the Arenal volcano and a forest merged in lush vegetation and wildlife. After the chosen hike we will enjoy a delicious lunch at the hot springs restaurant, then time to relax your mind and body as you enjoy these therapeutic volcanic hot water springs, surrounded by mother nature, rain forest, volcano, and magnificent infrastructure of pools, waterfalls, and wet bars that will make your visit to these place very pleasant. On the way back to Guanacaste the dinner will be served at a local restaurant in Tilarán Town.

Experience it all in a day!

Eddie was great! He was extremely knowledgeable about the area and the roads. The breakfast and lunch were comparable to a 4 star restaurant! Our tour was a lot of driving for Eddie but he had a great attitude and we enjoyed our day very much!! Highly recommend this company!! PuraVida!

A long day, but great company!

We booked this tour with our travel rep in our hotel (CC Papagoya) after looking at several options. We had a full day from 7.30 AM until 8.30 PM. Our trip also included a 2.5 hour stop at a hot spring where we also enjoyed a nice lunch (Paradise Hot Springs) our guide, Stevens and our driver Peter made the almost three hour drive quite interesting. It was clear that our enjoyment was their top priority as they went out of their way to ensure we saw and experienced as much as we could. On our hike through the forest at the volcano we had many groups run by us as we searched and learned about our surroundings. We were clearly there to enjoy the experience, not run through the trails. After we left the hot springs we stopped in La Fortuna for a very brief visit. This little city is definitely worth a days visits with restaurants and shops galore. We left there and just about sunset we pulled off the road into a family run restaurant. Great meal and friendly hosts. From there we headed back to our hotel. It was more like a day out with friends then a paid tour. Amazing experience. Guide was very knowledgeable and allowed us to stop to off to purchase local art. The hot springs were very refreshing and I will definitely return.

My wife and I had a fantastic time on this tour (nov 2022). Both the driver (Donnie) and the tour guide (Stevenson) where very knowledgable about the area and really went out of there way to ensure we had a great time.
