Overview

Create lasting memories on the white water rivers of Jasper on this 3-hour Athabasca River Canyon Run. Your guides are trained and committed to sharing incredible white water rafting experiences with you and your family. The magnificent scenery of the Canadian Rockies and Jasper National Park surrounds you while you raft. Look for wildlife along the river banks or simply enjoy the lively white water rapids.

Meeting points

Next to the Jasper Home Building Center (706 Sleepy Hollow Road), and across the railway tracks from the set of traffic lights at Connaught Drive and Hazel Avenue. Look for our blue or yellow school buses with yellow rafts on the trailer. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your departure time.

Itinerary

Starting at the base of the Athabasca Falls, you'll raft 15 km down the majestic Athabasca Valley. This 3-hour round trip provides spectacular canyon scenery that combined with moderate rapids, make this an adventure trip ideal for the whole family. After a 30-minute bus drive from town, you'll be suited up in your rafting gear and receive a safety talk. Then there is a 5-minute portage down a road (built for Marilyn Monroe!) to the river. The river trip starts with the first set of rapids only being seconds away. Once these rapids have soaked everyone in the raft, you'll find yourself in a spectacular canyon only seen from the river. For the next 30-minutes, a combination of rapids and flat sections you can enjoy the scenery and enjoy the natural surroundings. It is just you and the river. The Falls trip ends with another set of rapids and amazing views of the Athabasca River valley. Once back on the highway, it is about 20 minutes to the townsite.

Our primary pick up location is the RV Parking Lot and scheduled departure times are based on this location. Out of respect for other guests, we ask that all participants arrive 15 minutes prior to departure time. If you have chosen a pick up location other than the RV Parking Lot, please note the pick up time for your location. There will be no refund provided if you arrive after departure time or do not show for the date and time of your scheduled trip.

Great adventure

We had a great time and the People we're so funny and great. The fun already started at the bus when we droge to the place to start our rafting. The tour was very nice and beautiful and we have had lots of fun.

Lovely time with family

Very informative guide. Class 2 can be enjoyed by whole family. Smaller kids get to sit up front and get splashed without doing any rowing. There may even be an opportunity to jump in the water for a quick dip if you fancy. Great fun

An amazing trip with even more amazing guides

I can rant and rave about how great it was to raft the Athabasca Falls Run with my closest friends, seeing incredible views, and taking on such fun rapids. But honestly, the highlight of the trip was the guides. Our guides were so friendly, welcoming, funny, and just pleasant to be around. The team at Jasper Rafting Adventures is what makes these excursions so worth it. I'll be sure to sing their praises for years to come.

Was fantastic experience! Have wanted to do this for so long and it did not disappoint. Got wet..lol..our guide was so fun and knowledgeable.

What a Thrill

What a Thrill! It was a hot day, and what better way to cool off than getting sprayed by the rapids just below Athabasca Falls! We saw wildlife (something swimming across the river that originally looked like a black stick, and then we realized it was actually swimming.) It could have been a small bear, but by the time we were close enough to see, it had scrambled up the bank and disappeared. For those brave enough to jump in, there was a short swim stop in one of the nice calm spots. Four of the seven of us got in. (Not me) Our guide, Jenn was awesome, so fun and knowledgeable, as were the other two on our tour, Emily and Charles. Our bus driver/photographer was also wonderful. We were given very professional instruction and safety talks. The whole team was super charged and professional. We would Highly recommend this experience to Anyone!
