Your English speaking guide and private car will pick you up at 08:00am in your hotels' lobby. Hop aboard your air-conditioned vehicle. Heading directly to Badaling Great Wall. On the way to Badaling Great Wall, about a 1.5 hour drive, your professional tour guide will give you an explication of the Great Wall and the related Chinese history and culture on the way. You will also enjoy the beautiful countryside scenery on the way. You will driving pass by Olympic Stadium, let your tour guide know if you want to stop for photos

The Great Wall of China-- the greatest symbol of Chinese engineering and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. The Badaling Great Wall is one of the most important part of the Great Wall, this Great Wall was attached with great military importance. An old Chinese saying tells the crucial position of Badaling: if one man guards the pass, ten thousand cannot get through. The highest point of Badaling Great Wall is Beibalou, approximately 1,015 m above sea level. Upon arrival, you will take the cable car up to the highest point where you can overlook the entire area and take some nice photos. You will spend 2 hours hiking on the Wall.

After lunch at local Chinese restaurant, then heading to Longqing Gorge (About 30minutes drive). The Longqing Gorge is flanked on both sides by green peaks. People often say Longqing Gorge is a small Li River in Guilin, but it is more beautiful than Li River; it is a small three gorges on the Yangtze River, but it is more dangerous than the Three Gorges. The valleys feature beautiful scenery and clear water like mirrors, where tourists feast their eyes with not only cliffs, peaks and steep rocks, but also with many stone cones, stone swords, stone pillars, solution crevices.etc Take a cruise along the beautiful lake will give you a nice memory. Spend about 2 hours inside the Long Qing Gorge After the Longqing Gorge visit ,you will be transferred back to your hotel in Beijing.

The tour was amazing, the tour guide Cathy Zhang was super knowledgeable and efficient. The driver was amazing, great driving skills. Cathy made the trip a breeze and even took me to an amazing local restaurant. She provided me with several options for each place so I could customize it to my liking.

We had an amazing day with our fantastic guide, Lucy Yue, and our great driver, Liu Chao. Lucy contacted me yesterday to confirm our pick up arrangement. Today she and Mr. Liu picked us up at our hotel as planned. We drove to Longqing gorge first to avoid the morning crowd at the Badaling Great Wall. It worked out well as there were very few people at the gorge. We walked through the dragon and had a magical boat ride through the tall mountains. Beautiful scenery! The cable car was closed so we didn’t get to ride it. Next we had a nice lunch at a place of our choosing. Last, we went to the Badaling Great Wall. On our way there, Lucy gave us the history. When we got there, she expertly guided us through the process to get to the wall and took lots of pictures of us on the wall. The crowd was leaving as we were coming so the order we followed was perfect. I didn’t know the main attractions in Beijing are closed on Mondays so the wall is more crowded than normal. If you get Lucy Yue and Liu Chao you will have a great day. Lucy is a lot of fun and very accommodating. Mr. Liu was a great driver in a nice car.

We had a great day out. The entrance to the gorge was fascinating with a cascade of water from the dam and a huge dragon disguising the elevator that took us to the top. Saw some great scenery on the boat trip. The Great Wall was, indeed, great. Fantastic scenery and a unique destination. We felt very privileged to be there. Lucy was a very knowledgeable and friendly guide who spoke excellent English. The car she had arranged was very comfortable and that added to the feeling of being well looked after. Lunch was very good in a local Chinese cafe/restaurant.
