Your all-inclusive private day tour begins at your preferred time, and your professional guide and personal driver will meet you at your hotel. Your first stop is the UNESCO-listed Summer Palace, the largest and best-preserved of the surviving imperial gardens, around 40 minutes' drive from downtown Beijing. First built in 1750 AD, during the time of the Qing dynasty Emperor Qianlong, and largely destroyed during the war of 1860, the Summer Palace centers on the expansive Kunming Lake and towering Longevity Hill. Listen to the commentary from your tour guide while driving, feel free to ask questions if you have.

Your guide will escort you around the grounds, providing an insight not only into Chinese landscape architecture but into the lives of the imperial family who enjoyed their leisure there. You will visit Important buildings such as: The hall of Benevolence and Longevity, The Hall of Happiness and Longevity and more.

Walk along the World's longest corridor and enjoy different paintings on the ceiling. Gain deep insight into the history and life story of Empress Dowager Ci'xi.
In summer time, you will enjoy the dragon boat cruise along the lake
After visit the famous Qingyan Marble Boat, you will exit from the North gate of the Summer Palace
You'll break for lunch at a local restaurant and enjoy Chinese specialties before driving 20 minutes or so to the Old Summer Palace. Celebrated for its spectacular collection of gardens, architecture, and art, this was once known as the 'Garden of Gardens'Â - its destruction in 1860 was a huge loss to the world. A harmonious blend of typical Chinese scenery with some western architectural features, the vast majority of what remained of the garden was damaged in the 1980s. Your guide will lead you through this landscape of crumbling walls and ruins and describe its former grandeur.

We had a great experience overall - it was nice to have a private car to ferry us from each location, the driver was also very friendly. Lucy, our guide, was insightful and interesting, and explained the various sights and locations very well. We would highly recommend this tour and visiting these locations!

We had a great day from the time Ansom picked us up at our hotel. He was very knowledgeable and tailored the day to our family. Our family has some food allergies and he was able to order a great lunch that everyone could enjoy. He was very understanding with our kids when they got tired. I would definitely do another tour with him.

Both tour guide and chofer were very professional and punctual. Jimmy,the tour guide, was very knowledgeable in providing historical facts about both palaces. He was also very patient and helpful in assisting me in getting around stairs and hoping on and off the boat. The lunch was excellent. Recommend highly comfortable walking shoes.
